DS MENA was established in 2020 as a specialist platform focused on originating, developing, and scaling clean and renewable energy investments across high-growth and transition markets.
Since inception, we have built a track record of identifying and advancing innovative energy solutions from concept through to execution. Early investments include a next-generation waste-to-energy plant in Tuscany, utilizing high-temperature partial oxidation of biomass and refuse, which achieved Commercial Operations Date (COD) in March 2023. DS MENA remains a minority shareholder in the project.
The platform has also developed a wastewater-to-hydrogen concept in the UK, including the design and economic modelling of a standalone hydrogen refueling station, proving its capability to originate and structure first-of-a-kind energy transition assets.
In parallel, the company has undertaken a range of 'skin-in-the game' early-stage development studies across the clean energy value chain, including an integrated offshore energy hub in the Gulf of Oman and an offshore hydrogen production platform in Australia. These initiatives reflect a disciplined approach to pipeline creation in sectors expected to see significant capital deployment over the coming decade.
Building on our deep experience across both conventional and low-carbon energy markets, DS MENA is uniquely positioned to bridge the gap between innovation. project derisking and bankability—transforming early-stage concepts into investable opportunities.
