Asset Overview

A large-scale upstream energy asset evaluated for integrated export optimisation and transition alignment. The study assessed conventional export routing alongside blue and green hydrogen production, ammonia conversion, CO₂ capture and gas-to-power integration, creating a scalable energy platform capable of evolving toward low-carbon fuel export.

Strategic Rationale

The objective was to monetise production efficiently while embedding optionality for energy transition. By integrating hydrogen, ammonia and carbon management into the core infrastructure design, the project reduced long-term transition risk and preserved flexibility to align with accelerating global demand for low-carbon energy vectors.

03

Development Status

Multi-scenario technical and commercial screening was completed, including export route optimisation, hydrogen and ammonia pathway evaluation, CO₂ capture feasibility, gas-to-power modelling and lifecycle cost comparison. A preferred phased configuration was defined with a structured roadmap aligned to upstream investment milestones.

04

Value Inflection Points

Technical feasibility of integrated low-carbon pathways has been validated, infrastructure interfaces optimised and capital phasing aligned with production ramp-up. The platform is positioned for structured partner entry, with remaining value driven by offtake structuring, regulatory alignment and final capital configuration.

05

Target Structure

The asset supports strategic JV participation, phased farm-in, infrastructure carve-out or low-carbon co-investment structures. Capital entry can be staged to align with transition milestones and risk reduction phases.
